Software holding company

We own software companies and keep them.

We hold two software companies outright, fund them out of our own balance sheet, and have no plans to sell either one.

01Companies

Two companies, owned outright.

Both pre-launch. Both ours in full, with nobody else on the cap table.

Company 01

ProofVue

A verification desk for people who buy from factories. ProofVue gathers what is knowable about a supplier, checks it against independent records, and returns a report that says whether a company makes the goods or resells them, with the evidence behind the answer kept in view.

Company 02

Trove

A bookshop and a reading app in one. Readers buy real books inside Trove and read them on a warm paper surface built for long sittings, with highlights, notes and review that stay attached to the book. Authors publish into the same catalogue, and schools license from it for their students.

A third company joins next year. We will name it here when it launches.

02What we do

The companies run. We own them.

There are three jobs at this level, and none of them is making the product.

We fund them

Every company here is paid for out of our own balance sheet. Nobody has to raise, nobody has to hit a number set by someone who has never used the product, and nobody is spending money that has to be returned on a schedule.

  • Self-funded
  • No debt
  • No outside investors

We set the bar

We do not write the code. We decide what is good enough to carry our name: how the thing looks and reads, whether it works properly before it ships, what happens to a customer's data, and how long somebody waits for an answer.

  • Brand
  • Product quality
  • Privacy
  • Support

We do not sell

There is no exit plan, because there is no exit. We look at each company properly once a quarter, and we have planned for succession, so ownership outlasts the people holding it today.

  • Permanent hold
  • Quarterly review
  • Succession planned

03About

Owned by one house, for good.

Greydient Labs is a privately held company that owns software companies. We hold each one in full: no minority stakes, no joint ventures, no co-owner with a different idea of when to cash out. Two today, a third next year, and we would rather that number stayed small.

Most software changes hands every few years, and the people who paid for it are the ones who absorb the cost: the migration, the repricing, the features that quietly stop being maintained while everyone waits for the deal to close. We would rather own two things properly for twenty years than ten things briefly.

04Get in touch

Write to us.

One form. It reaches a person, and a person answers.

Careers

We hire rarely and slowly. Send work you are proud of instead of a cover letter. If there is nothing open we will say so, and we will keep the note.

Investors and press

We do not take outside investment, so there is nothing to pitch and nothing on offer. For press, or for anything that does not fit above, the same form reaches us.

No list, no newsletter. Nothing is stored on this page.
